The records are being moved from my site to googledocs. This has been in the works and it is finally done. You still can access them from my home page link under local records on the right.
Starting with the NEW YEAR, there has been 3 meets that our local athletes have competed in and records were broken in the 16-17 year old division, 18-19 year old division, 35-39 year old division and the 50-54 year old division. The competitions were the Pittsburgh Open on Jan 4, the FDU Open on Jan 18th and the Junior Nationals on Jan 31st. Congratulations to all the athletes.
There are new IWF rules for Junior Athletes that will be applied to the records this year. The division is from 15-20 years old. So Tyler Maizels is 15 and going to be 16 this year. He has set age group records and Junior records. I'm not sure how this will be recorded in the records, however, there will be a new format coming soon that will be on google docs. I will have a link to google docs on my home page so you have access to the records.
If anyone is going to this 2 day event next sat and sun, I have a bit of info to help. It is being held at a CrossFit in Rosedale MD. If you come off of 95 onto 43 east get off on the 1st exit which is route 7. After you take a right at the end of the ramp, go 100 yards to the light at route 7. Turn left. Go 1.8 miles to the "Enterprise Business Park" exact address is 9629 Philadelphia Rd on the left side of the road. Turn into the entrance and stay left. Pass the first building and come to a stop sign next to the second building...you have arrived. Turn right and it is at the end of the building. Plenty of parking in the front and the back. Hope to see you there. I will be there on Saturday as a coach and official and on Sunday as a lifter around 5:15pm. Be safe...
